Biography

Olivier Spitzer est un guitariste, auteur-compositeur et réalisateur franco-britannique né le 8 septembre 1962 à Paris. Il baigne dès son plus jeune âge dans la musique anglo-saxonne des années 60 et 70.

He started playing guitar in September 1978 and formed the band Brainstorm in 1979. The first concerts and demos took place in 1980. In 1981 the band changed its name for Stators. Stators released the album Never too late on Axe Killer in February 1985 and split up in September of the same year. At the end of 1986, he began to collaborate with the former singer of Wild Child, Jim Lemoine. Three bands followed one another between 1987 and 1992, Scareface, FX and Rebel, who released a record on Musidisc in 1991.

He created his first home studio in 1986. In 1987, Marc Prada, former manager of Stators, introduced him to Bobbi Bruno who took charge of managing the bands FX then Rebel. He began working with him as a producer at Davout Studios. He created the company SBC Production with composer, arranger and keyboardist Eric Bono in 1988. He composed and produced the demo of the singer Nina Scott in 1991 with guests from the French hard rock scene. He worked with singer Karny Aboulafia between 1994 and 1999 in the bands Black Dog and Diaspora.

Between 2000 and 2002, he recorded and composed with singer David Beranger for a project called Loaded Leg. Between 2002 and 2007, he composed and produced songs with the singers Little Jim, Karny, David Beranger, Jeff Deroche, Christian Zouille Augustin and the singers Clémence, France Flory and Cindy. Between 2006 and 2007, he created the band Harvest and then Oskar with Karny and rapper Lester Bilal. At the end of 2007, he began to collaborate with Renaud Hantson for the Furious Zoo IV album and joined Satan Jokers at the end of 2008. At the same time, he started to compose with singer Pierre Benvenuti and created the group Superfiz. He left Satan Jokers in January 2011 and released the self-title album Superfiz the same year. Superfiz disbanded at the end of 2012. Temple of Silence was created in 2013 with singer Lol Nico and disbanded in 2015. He joined Shakin’ Street between 2012 and 2014 and released the album Psychic. He produced and composed the album Benvenuti in 2015. Between 2017 and 2019, he created the Osmoz project with rapper Lester Bilal.

In 2020, Oliver Spitzer joined Sortilège. He produced the albums Phoenix (2021), Apocalypso (March 2023), Coram Populo (November 2023) which were released by Verycords. In 2024 he produced the EP Toujours Plus Live Au Forum.
