Rebel (89)
September 1988, Claude Henry, artistic director of Peer Music France, contacted Bobbi Bruno. He has just produced Soldat Louis's first album with the author Renaud Detressant and wants a hard rock band for a concept album anti-bicentenary of the revolution (1989). The band Rebel is formed and enters the studio and rehearsals. Jim Lemoine, Michel Aymé, lead guitar, Olivier Spitzer, Frédéric Lemarchand, bass, Gérald Manceau, drums, Eric Bono guest on keyboards. The French majors interested are favorable to the band but ask for a change of the texts so as not to focus on the bicentenary of the revolution. Recording of the album began in early 1989 at the Gang studio with Olivier Do Spirito Santo on sound. At the start of 1990, the interests of the majors and Peer Music did not converge. The finalized album was not released. The band disbands.
